Student Affairs: IT provides resources for University of Oregon staff working from home or off-campus. The following technology resources allow staff to stay connected through services like IM and email with minimal work disruption even when off-campus.


Resources

Outlook Web Access:

Outlook Web Access (OWA) allows web based access to your Student Affairs email account. Along with email, contacts and calendars are accessible as well.

To check email from home, use Outlook Web Access with your DuckID and password:

Spark:

Spark is out Instant Messanger client, allowing instant communication with everyone online. View the catergoized contact list, create chat rooms, and more!

Student Affairs: IT provides a terminal workstation, which allows users to securely connect from anywhere in the world and still have access to their files, common programs and more - just like being on campus.

VPN:

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, and relates to a set of software and hardware that enable your computer to transparently connect to the University’s network as if you were physically on campus. In addition, the communication between your computer and the remote VPN hardware is encrypted. Use VPN when you are using a computer off-campus and need to access an electronic resource that is restricted to on-campus access only. Remember to disconnect when you’re done.
